Can save you a trip to the doctors sometimes. It really helps you get a clue about whats going on with your body. Love it!

I got the hardware HÜD, which is a dermoscope used for dermoscopy- it takes high grade images of moles for a better opinion. I also use it to track my moles as well as my partner.

I was able to get an advise for treatment for my skin issues that I didnt need to pay a lot! Awesome!

I was initially relieved after getting the following analysis from the folks at FirstDerm: "Based on the information and images submitted, this is possibly a ABSCESS: Abscesses are a collection of pus or liquid that has accumulated in a cavity under the skin as a result of a bacterial infection" I consulted my dermatologist just to make sure. She took a one look at it and said "thats cancer". You will notice that this app carefully hedges all of its evaluations with the disclaimer that they are NOT "diagnoses" and that the use of this app does not "create a doctor patient relationship". That may protect them legally but I would advise anyone who is contemplating using this app to think twice before trusting the analysis of any photographs you send them. The fact that my dermatologist had only to take a cursory glance at the sore on my arm to correctly diagnose the lesion as cancer (later borne out by lab tests!) may serve as a warning to others who are contemplating using the services of FirstDerm. Legally, I am sure they are on solid ground (notice their careful use of the word "possibly") but this is a good example of lax regulation on the part of the US government because I think many people would take their evaluation at face value and take no further action, thereby exposing themselves to the possibility of serious harm. Caveat Emptor!

This app is perfect for someone like me who NEVER goes to the doctor. Easy to use too.

This app has yet again quelled my fears about my skin issues. From resolving my psoriasis in the past to more recently reassuring me about a nasty bug bite, I cannot praise FirstDerm enough. It truly provides high quality medical advice at record speed for a very low cost. This is among the most useful medical apps available, and my go to for cosmetic concerns. Thank you FirstDerm for calming me down and helping me out. Extremely user friendly with a beautiful interface, removing all stress from an already sensitive topic.

The app keeps crashing before giving me a diagnosis.

I thought it was a bug bite but the derm said it could be eczema.

I received a response about a weird rash on my arm in about 4 hours. Good info from the doctor!

Only use this app if you have $100 to spend on an answer... Not worth the time and effort.

This app is advertised as free, but the only thing free is the download. If you want to actually use the app and get a response, you have to pay for it. My specialist co-pay is cheaper and obviously more reliable. Uninstalling.

Do not download this app. I submitted a case and paid via PayPal and never got a response. No answer from support.

This app stole 39.99 from me. I made a purchase and it took my money without being given any consultation and or help...literally nothing. Do not use this app- go to real doctor or get a BETTER derm app.

The doctor gave me two options of what it could be. 1. An abscess 2. A possible basal cells cancer I was told "if it did not get better in a week", I should go in to see a dermatologist face to face. I fact it was a basal cell and the dermatologist removed it the same day. If I had not got this answer from this app I would probably have delayed my doctors visit

They responded to my case in 2 hours! It saved me a trip to the doctor and all I needed was an OTC drug. Thanks for putting my worries to rest! Thanks First Derm.

Obviously if you want a thorough screening this app isnt for you. But for a quick and inexpensive "first look" at a possible issue it works. Im pleased with it.
